It Turns Out Chris Foerster is in Trouble with the IRS Too

You might assume that when your sidepiece releases a video of you doing footlong rails of blow before a meeting while saying you’d like to be doing it off her cooch in order to stop racial injustice but blowing up your 24 year career in the process, things couldn’t get much worse for a guy.

But you’d be wrong. Things are worse for Chris Foerster. From the Sun-Sentinel:

Foerster and his wife Michelle, who is a pediatric nurse and studied addiction at St. Petersburg College according to her LinkedIn profile, have been married since 1985.

According to documents from the Internal Revenue Service, Foerster and his wife, who filed their taxes jointly last year, owe the IRS $591,397.51 in unpaid taxes going back to 2012. …

[Adam] Gase hasn’t said yet what he will do as far as replacing Foerster, who was highly regarded as an offensive line coach and one of the highest-paid assistant coaches in the NFL making between $2.5 million and $3 million, according to ESPN.

As if the universe hadn’t already kicked the man right in the nuts, this is rolling him over when he’s down, making him bite the curb and then stomping him with cleats. But I guess the one thing we should not be is surprised. If you made a Venn Diagram with one circle representing “Cokeheads Who Send Videos of Themselves Snorting on the Job to Vegas Strippers” and the other “Guys Who are Really Meticulous About Preparing Their 1040s,” you’re not going to see a huge overlap between the two subsets.

And if he’s almost $600,000 behind in his payments just going back to 2012, that means we’re only talking about four filings. So that’s almost $150K per year. I can do my taxes with apples and oranges, so I’ve never come after me and I don’t know how this works. But my guess is that’s the kind of thing they send you to jail for. Especially since he’s probably going to be living on Mrs. Foerster’s pediatric nurse (with a background in addiction treatment) salary for a while.

Sad. And although it’s been said, many times, many ways:
